Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and solution-oriented Director, Partnership Success to be responsible for nurturing and growing a portfolio of university, college and corporate partners. The Director, Partnership Success responsibilities will include maintaining a thorough knowledge of our business and products, developing and implementing strategic plans to grow the O’Donnell/ISG footprint with our existing partners, managing and strengthening executive relationships, and coordinating with internal delivery teams to craft partner-specific learning experience and student success solutions to address add-on business opportunities. This is an amazing growth opportunity as O’Donnell Learn/ISG is seeking candidates who can establish this newly created role and grow the associated functional organization to a team of high performing Partnership Success Managers.

To be successful as Director, Partnership Success, you will be required to work closely with the O’Donnell/ISG internal delivery teams to understand partnership health and delivery satisfaction in general, as well as per contractual statement of work. Ultimately, the Director, Partner Success will be responsible for addressing contractual issues, mitigating risk, and ensuring partner recognition of the O’Donnell/ISG value proposition. Strong candidates will possess effective communication, customer service, and account management skills and will be highly organized and accomplished at solving problems and closing add-on business.




  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to manage and grow existing university, college and corporate partnerships through add-on business and industry leadership opportunities
  • Building strong, trusting partner relationships
  • Meeting or exceeding annual targets for partnership growth and renewals
  • Understanding client needs and identifying new business opportunities within your portfolio
  • Ensuring partner satisfaction and minimizing risk to growth and renewal
  • Developing and maintaining excellent knowledge and understanding of our business, offerings, competitors, and industry
  • Communicating partnership portfolio status with executive leadership team and collaborating with executive sponsors to drive partnership growth
  • Establish a baseline understanding of existing partner accounts and portfolio and work with SVP, Growth and Product Strategy to establish annual objectives


Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Master’s or Doctoral degree in instructional design or related discipline a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with business development, sales, or account management in the higher education or corporate learning industry
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar account portfolios
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure
  • Experience with higher education, including course development
  • Experience successfully managing multiple strategic projects, priorities, and timelines
  • General knowledge of business to determine the most effective means to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the organizational structure, processes, systems, and policies
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent writing skills and serious attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships and foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and support
  • Flexibility to adapt/adjust planned work through analyzing work demands, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google docs, Slack, and CRM
  • Position requires travel to partner locations up to 50% of time during peak periods
