Creating inclusive pathways for training and education for underrepresented students means meeting them where they are. It means finding ways to help them complete the goal. At this session, we will be speaking with Kaci Roach, Executive Director for HHW Ohio, about how changing the idea of what higher ed is and who it includes can lead to a more diverse workforce. This includes adjusting the criteria for entrance into programs, the role of instructors and mentors with similar experiences, and how micro-credentialing and certificates can help bolster a feeling of completion.
